Women’s Golf Competes at the William Beall Fall Classic

FINDLAY, Ohio – The Saginaw Valley State University women's golf team competed at the William Beall Fall Classic on Monday and Tuesday, finishing 12th out of 17 teams with a three-round total of 973 (+109).

Christina Nagy (Macedonia, Ohio / Nordonia HS) led the Cardinals, tying for 25th out of 90 golfers. She posted rounds of 79 (+7), 78 (+6), and 77 (+5) for a total of 234 (+18).

Andie Martin (New Boston, Mich. / Huron HS) followed with scores of 80 (+8), 83 (+11), and 81 (+9), finishing tied for 52nd with a total of 244 (+28).

Marissa GeRue (Fort Wayne, Ind. / Carroll HS), Mayson Southland (Mona Shores, Mich. / Mona Shores HS), and Alivia Ligrow (Pinckney, Mich. / Pinckney Community HS) rounded out the SVSU lineup. GeRue carded rounds of 84 (+12), 85 (+13), and 77 (+5) for a total of 246 (+30), matching Nagy for the team's best round of the tournament. Southland recorded rounds of 82 (+10), 83 (+11), and 86 (+14) for a three-round total of 251 (+35). Ligrow contributed with an opening round of 82 (+10) and followed with 93 (+21) and 89 (+17) to finish at 264 (+48).
