Dominic Suliman Earns Second GLIAC Track Athlete of the Week Award this Season

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. -- Saginaw Valley State University junior Dominic Suliman was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) track athlete of the week when the league office announced the weekly award recipients.

Dominic Suliman added his second GLIAC Track Athlete of the Week award this season after a record-breaking performance at NCAA Division I Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational. Suliman finished the men's mile championship race in second place with a time of 4:01.35 to break his own school record in that event. He was the top finisher from NCAA Division II in that race, and his record-setting time is currently the eighth-fastest time in D2.

The Cardinal men's track and field team will travel to Chicago, Illinois, to compete in the Lewis Invitational this Friday, February 6, at 6:00 p.m. (ET).
