EUGENE, Ore. – Saginaw Valley State University freshman Andrew Quinn made the trip to Eugene, Oregon to compete in the shot put U20 event at the 2023 USATF Toyota Outdoor Championships this weekend.

Quinn finished seventh in the event, beating out two NCAA Division I student-athletes and two unattached athletes to claim his place in the standings. His fourth throw was his best, marking in at 18.08m, which is .46 meters short of his personal best from this past season's GLIAC Outdoor Championship meet.
