UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich.- Saginaw Valley State University junior Cheyenne Williamson was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Field athlete of the week when the conference office annouced the weekly award winners.

This is Williamson's first award of the 2023 outdoor season and the sixth of her career. The two-time national champion competed at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California in the heptathlon for the first time since last year's outdoor national championship. Williamson hit an NCAA Division II provisional scoring 5595 points ranking her third in the country on the USTFCCCA National List (Division II).
