Hieber Earns Third All-America Honors of the National Championships

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Saginaw Valley State University swimming and diving had another All-American performance on day four of the NCAA Division II National Championships. Lexi Hieber placed 13th in the 500-yard freestyle Friday evening.

This is the third All-America honors for Hieber after earning Second Team All-America in the 800-yard freestyle relay on Tuesday and First Team All-America in the 1000-yard freestyle on Wednesday. She finished the event with a time of 4:56.30, just under a second behind her program record time.

Hadyn Gould and Alvaro Rodriguez also competed Friday. Gould finished 22nd in the 100-yard backstroke prelims with a time of 48.52 seconds. Rodriguez took 20th in the 200-yard butterfly prelims with a finish of 1:46.79, a mere 0.12 seconds behind his program record time.
