UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University sophomore swimming & diving student-athlete Shaun Yap was selected as the CollegeSwimming.com Male Swimmer of the Week from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) after his performance in the team's 159-141 home victory over Albion College on Saturday.

Yap posted first place finishes in the 200 Yard IM (1:57.62), 200 Yard Breaststroke (2:10.66) and the 100 Yard Breaststroke (57.55) in Saturday's meet against the Britons.

The Cardinals hit the road for a dual meet, where the Cardinal men will face Ashland University at Hillsdale College on Saturday (Jan. 16) at 1:00 p.m. while the Lady Cardinals will face both Ashland and Hillsdale, which does not sponsor a men's program.
