She followed that up with a 4-0 win over Ferris State in the opening game of the Midwest Regional, where she went 6.2 innings without allowing a hit and struck out nine Bulldogs to earn her 20th victory of the season.

Kimble led the team at the plate with 208 at-bats, 75 hits, and an average of .361. She scored a team-best 47 runs while hitting six doubles, seven triples, and one home run. She tallied two or more hits in a game 24 times, including three-hit showings six times, with the most recent being the 4-0 win over Ferris last week, where she also almost pitched a no-hitter. Kimble sparked SVSU with her first career home run in game three against UIndy in the super regional that trimmed the deficit to 5-3 in the Cardinals' 6-5 comeback win over the Greyhounds to propel SVSU to the NCAA D2 Softball Championship. Kimble finished the year ranked in the top-three of the GLIAC in 13 categories (10 pitching, 3 hitting), including leading the conference in four categories: Games Started (29), Shutouts (6), and Walks Per Seven Innings (1.55) as a pitcher and hits (75) at the plate. She was among the top 25 best in all of D2 in three categories, one hitting and two pitching. Set a new best hitting streak of 11 from March 23 to April 5.
