BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its third weekly awards for the 2017 men's golf spring season. Saginaw Valley junior Ryan Peruski has been named GLIAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week after he won the Purgatory Regional in Noblesville, Indiana.
Peruski claimed his first collegiate victory at the Purgatory Regional, as his five-under score of 67 held up as the final due to the second round being cancelled because of bad weather. The 67 led the Cardinals to a runner-up finish of 291, six strokes behind tourney winner, Grand Valley State.
SVSU is back in action April 21-23 at the 2017 GLIAC Championships at the Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio.
