GEORGETOWN, Ky. - Following a first round score of 295 at the 2014 GLIAC Men's Golf Championships that had the SVSU men's golf team in a tie for seventh place, the Cardinals posted a mark of 294 in round two.
The two-day total of 589 (+13) has the Cards in a tie with the Ohio Dominican Panthers, who had a 293 on the second day of competition. Malone University leads the tournament with a score of 573 (-3).
Senior Micah Skidmore had the top score for SVSU once again in the championships. Skidmore followed his opening round even-par 72 with a score of 70 (-2). He is one of eleven players at under par in the tournament, sitting in a tie for eighth place with his two day total of 172 (-2).
Fellow senior Carter Marsh had a solid round as well, carding a 73 (+1) on day two. Marsh's total score of 147 (+3) has him tied for 24th overall.
Junior Ryan Thomas is tied for 29th place after his score of 75 in round two. Thomas is at +4 with his overall score of 148.
Saginaw Valley will once again tee it up at 9:20 am on Sunday morning in the final round of the championships. Playing with Walsh University and Wayne State University, the times will be as follows for SVSU off the first tee:

9:30 am - Wyatt Drost (T45, +8)
9:40 am - Ryan Thomas (T29, +4)
9:50 am - Carter Marsh (T24, +3)
10:00 am - Micah Skidmore (T8, -2)
