EUREKA, Mo. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's golf team is currently competing in the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Super Regional Championships. The event is being held at the Fox Run Golf Club in Eureka, Missouri.
After 18 holes of play, the Cardinals sit in 17th place with a score of 312. They are seven strokes behind Arkansas Tech University, which carded a team total of 305 for 16th place. Malone University leads after the first round, as the Pioneers shot a 291 on the opening day of competition.
Eric Gandy had the low round of the day for SVSU, shooting a 76 (+4). He is tied for 43rd overall after the first round. Wyatt Drost and Micah Skidmore each carded a 78 (+6) and sit in a tie for 65th place. Adam Hansen shot an 80 and was the last score to count for SVSU.
The Cardinals will tee-off beginning at 7:30 am central time on Tuesday. They will start on hole #10 and will be playing with players from Lewis University and Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
