COLUMBUS, Ind. -- The Saginaw Valley State University men's golf team completed day one at the Otter Creek Invitational hosted by Wisconsin-Parkside on Sunday (March 31). The Cardinals sit in ninth place after 18 holes of action with a 309 (+21) total.
Sophomore Micah Skidmore (Saginaw, Mich.) led the SVSU lineup with a 2-over par round of 74 and currently sits in seventh place. Senior Dustin Vogl (Bay City, Mich. / Western) carded a 4-over par 76, while junior Eric Gandy (Midland, Mich. / Bullock Creek) posted 79 (+7).
Wyatt Drost (Charlevoix, Mich.) and Kreg Sherman (Clio, Mich.) both rounded out the Cardinal starting five by firing 80 (+8).
Adam Hansen (Auburn, Mich. / Bay City Western) and Ryan Thomas (Flushing, Mich.) recorded rounds of 76 and 79, respectively, competing as individuals in the tournament.
Saginaw Valley will look to make a move up the leaderboard on Monday (April 1) morning starting at 9:07 a.m.
