TIFFIN, Ohio - The Saginaw Valley State University golf team finished in third place at the Tiffin University Kyle Ryman Memorial, held on April 18-19. The Cardinals shot a total score of 613 (310-303) to finish in the third slot, 17 strokes behind tournament winner Tiffin University "A", which finished the two-round event with a 596.
Dieter Schulz (Fort Gratiot, Mich./Port Huron Northern HS) was the top finisher for SVSU, carding rounds of 74-74, finishing in a tie for fifth place. Schulz was named to the All-Tournament Team for his finish. Nate Kelly (Suttons Bay, Mich.) was next for Saginaw, shooting rounds of 80-75 in the tourney. Jonathan Lange (Midland, Mich./Bullock Creek HS) hit twin rounds of 78. Rob Ronk (Clarkston, Mich.) posted scores of 79-78 and Brian King (Livonia, Mich./Detroit CC HS) rounded-out the scoring with rounds of 79-76.
