UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University Senior Kasey Hocquard is this week’s mens golf Great Lakes Intercollegiate co-Athlete of the Week.

Hocquard (Cheboygan, Mich.) finished tied for third at the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament on Sunday, and Monday (Sept. 21-22) at HawkHead in South Haven, Mich., where the Cardinals finished tied for 7th place.

Hocquard who led SVSU with a two round total of 138, tied for the third lowest score of the tournament. Hocquard also recorded an ace on the par 3 168 yard third hole. Hocquard became just the fifth SVSU golfer to record an ace in school history.

The Cardinals will travel to Grand Valley State University next week for preparation for the GLIAC Golf Championships that will be played October 5 and 6 at Bay City Country Club.
