Biography
2008-09: Took first place in the 800-meter runat GVSU’s Bob Eubanks Open with a time of 1:53.68 and atSVSU’s Collegiate open…was a member of a first place4x400 team at SVSU’s Collegiate Invitational and CollegiateOpen where they finished with a time of 3:25.02…took secondplace in the 800-meter run at the GVSU Invitational with a time of1:55.42 and in the 4x400-meter relay at SVSU’s HolidayClassic…finished third place overall at the NCAA Division IITeam Challenge in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:53.85 and atthe GLIAC Indoor Championship with a time of 1:54.61…tookthird place in the 400-meter dash at the SVSU Collegiate Open witha time of 51.12 seconds.
2007-08: Finished forth at GLIAC indoor in the800-meter with a time of 1:56.4...finished in first place in the800-meter run (1:52.61) at the GLIAC Outdoor Track and FieldChampionship...finished in first place in the 800-meter run(1:56.57)at the Collegiate Open Indoor Classic...qualified foroutdoor nationals at U-of-M Invite in the 800-meter run...competedat the NCAA DII National Championships in California and finishedsixth in his heat in the preliminaries for the 800-meter.
2006-07: Took first place in the 800-meter runat the SVSU Indoor Collegiate Open (1:55.74)... placed fifth in the800-meter run at the Cardinal Indoor Open with a time of 1:57.95...finished ninth in the 800-meter run at EMU Classic (1:56.64)...took fifth place in the 800-meter run at the Jack Skoog Open with atime of 1:56.26.
Prior to SVSU/Personal: Prepped at KingstonHigh School...honored as all-state in 2005 and 2006 in the 800m andset a school record at 1:57.20...majoring in Exercise Science...soof Rick and Amy Filipek...born 3/30/1988.
