2008: Named to the All-GLIAC First Team and the
GLIAC All-Academic Team....appeared and started in all 10
games...led the GLIAC and all of Division II in tackles with 13.1
per contest, with a season total of 131...named a Daktronics Second
Team All-American ... had double-digit tackles in eight of 10 games
... currently ranks 12th on the SVSU career tackles list with a
total of 273...recorded 18 tackles against Ashland (Oct. 18) and 16
tackles against #2 Grand Valley (Sept. 13)...recorded nine tackles,
one sack and an interception against Findlay (Nov. 1)...led the
team in fumble recoveries and fumble return yardage with one for 18
yards against Ferris State (Nov. 8)...also led the team in fumbles
forced with three...recorded 16 tackles and two forced fumbles
against Michigan Tech (Oct. 25)...had two interceptions on the
season...played an outstanding game against Tiffin (Oct. 11) with
12 total tackles (seven solo), two tackles for loss (-10 yards),
one interception and one pass break-up.
2007: Named Honorable Mention All-GLIAC after
registering 74 total tackles (44 solo), tying for the team lead
with two interceptions, and leading the team with 27 interception
return yards and three quarterback hurries...was second on the team
with 12.5 tackles for loss (-42 yards)...also had four sacks (-21
yards), including three against Northern Michigan (Sept.
22)...recorded two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and two pass
break-ups on the season...had a monster game against Northern
Michigan (Sept. 22) for the second year in a row, recording 14
total tackles, five tackles for loss (-10 yards), three sacks (-8
yards) and one pass break-up...had nine tackles and a sack (-13
yards) against Grand Valley (Nov. 3)...had eight tackles, one for
loss (-3 yards), an interception, two quarterback hurries and one
pass break-up against Ferris State (Sept. 15)...had nine tackles,
two for loss (-5 yards) and one forced fumble against Northwood
(Sept. 29)...had five tackles, one forced fumble and one fumble
recovery against Findlay (Oct. 6)...had eight tackles, one for loss
(-2 yards) and an interception against Indianapolis (Oct.
27)...also a member of the GLIAC All-Academic Team.
2006: Named Honorable Mention All-GLIAC...turned
in one of the finest freshman campaigns by a linebacker in SVSU
history...fell one tackle-for-loss shy of the single-season school
record with 19 for a loss of 80 yards...ranked second on the team
with 68 tackles and also led the team with 7.5 sacks for a loss of
42 yards...named GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week twice for his
performance against Gannon and Northern Michigan...named National
Defensive Player of the Week by Don Hansen's Football Gazette and
D2Football.com for his performance against Gannon...collected 12
tackles and was two tackles-for-loss shy of the Division II record
with seven against Gannon...recorded one tackle-for-loss in eight
of 10 games...registered nine tackles and one forced fumble against
Northwood...had six tackles and 3.5 sacks, including a safety
against Northern Michigan.
