UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University baseball had four earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® honors. The four selected were Buck Snabes (Rochester, Mich. / Rochester Adams HS), Aaron Bess (Boyne City, Mich. / Boyne City HS), Connor Cornwell (Sterling Heights, Mich. / Henry Ford II HS), and Ryan Jarvis (Macomb, Mich. / Dakota HS).
The CSC Academic All-District® program recognizes student-athletes for their combined excellence in the classroom and competition. To qualify, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore, compete in 90 percent or start in at least 66 percent of their team's game with pitchers needing 17 appearances or 35.0 innings pitched, and hold a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
Snabes was the lone Cardinal selected to move forward in voting for CSC Academic All-America® voting. He earned First Team All-GLIAC honors along with being named to two Second Team All-Midwest Region lists after his junior season. Bess joined Snabes on the First Team All-GLIAC list while Jarvis earned Second Team All-GLIAC honors and Cornwell was named an All-GLIAC Honorable Mention.
The CSC Academic All-America® teams come out Tuesday, June 23.
