2014: Participated in 10 games for the Cardinals as a tight end...posted 16 yards and 3 receptions during his junior campaign...averaged 1.6 yards per game and 5.3 yards per catch...had a season high of 11 yards and 2 receptions for the win against Northern Michigan (Oct 4) of 14-7.

2013: Participated in seven games for the Cardinals as a tight end...caught two passes for 32 yards during his junior campaign...hauled in a season-long 26-yard pass completion in a win at Michigan Tech (Nov. 2).

Prior to SVSU/Personal: Prepped at Powers Catholic High School...helped lead team to one state championship and one runner-up finish...member of three district and regional title teams...was selected to the All-State team twice in basketball and once in football...member of the honor roll all four years...majoring in accounting...son of Kelly and Irma O'Brien...born 10/4/91.
