UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The 2026 Saginaw Valley State football season gets underway this Thursday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. at Harvey Randall Wickes Memorial Stadium, under new head coach Michael Engle.
The Cardinals welcome the McKendree University Bearcats to Wickes Memorial Stadium for the 15th-Annual Red Feather Classic.

GAME DAY PARKING
All parking lots will open three hours prior to kickoff.
All paid lots will be open three hours prior to kickoff of each home game during the 2026 season. Lots C1 & E are $15 with All other Lots (Except C) priced at $10. RV and bus parking in Lot E is $30 with all other lots (except C & C1) are $20.
NOTE: Lots R, L, and K will be offline for the first game of the season (Thursday, Aug. 27 vs. McKendree) due to housing move in taking place.
LOT C IS A DONOR ONLY PARKING LOT WITH LIMITED HANDICAP SPACES. DONOR LOT SPACES CAN BE PURCHASED VIA THE CARDINAL ATHLETICS FUND.
RV, BUS, AND TRAILER PARKING WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE IN LOTS C & C1 THIS YEAR.

TICKET INFORMATION
Season and single game tickets can be purchased at the SVSU Ticket Page. Group ticket rates are available by emailing the ticket office at athleticsticketing@svsu.edu. General admission prices for football are $15 for adult, $12 for students K-12 and seniors 62 & older. Children five and under and SVSU students, faculty, and staff are free.
The 2026 season features three premium games (Davenport, Grand Valley State, and Michigan Tech). Pricing for those three games are $20 for general admission adults, $15 for students K-12 and seniors 62 & older. Children five and under and SVSU students, faculty, and staff are free.

TICKET GATES & WILL CALL WILL OPEN 90 MINUTES PRIOR TO KICKOFF OF EACH GAME.
CLEAR BAG POLICY
In coordination with SVSU University Police, SVSU Athletics has a Clear Bag Policy for all home athletic contests. This policy enhances security and expedites entry by reducing time spent on bag checks.
Approved Bags:
Guests may bring ONE of the following:
• One clear tote bag is no larger 12" x 12" x 6"
-or-
• One-gallon clear plastic bag
In addition to one of the above, guests may also carry:
• One small hand bag (clutch or purse) no larger than 4.5" x 6.5", with or without a strap
Exceptions:
The following items are permitted but must be searched by security/bag check staff:
• Medical bags or necessary medical equipment
• Diaper bags, breast feeding bags or strollers (if with a small child or new mothers)
Additional Notes:
• Items on the exception list are still subject to search by security staff.
• SVSU reserves the right to inspect any item at any time.
• SVSU is not responsible for any items left at the gate or near the designated ticketing area.
• SVSU Security and Event Staff will have the right to deny entrance of any bag they deem questionable.

CONCESSIONS
The main concession stand will open 90 minutes prior to kickoff with the upper concession stand opening 30 minutes later.

ALCOHOL SALES
Alcohol will be served at Harvey Randall Wickes Memorial Stadium all season. Alcohol sales will begin one hour prior to kickoff and will end at the conclusion of the third quarter. Alcohol sale stands will be located near both the main and upper concession areas.

CASHLESS
All Saginaw Valley State athletic home contests are cashless. All tickets will be purchased with a credit card, debit card, or tap to pay method. For your convenience and to help with the flow of traffic at our contests, tickets can be purchased online in advance (see TICKET INFORMATION above).

GAME DAY PROGRAMS
Game Day Programs will be on sale at every Cardinal Football home game. Program stands can be found just inside the Main Ticket Gate. Price for the program is $5.

STATS & LIVE STREAM
Live stats will be available for every SVSU Football contest via the Live Stats link found next to each contest on the schedule page.
