UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich – The Saginaw Valley State University swimming and diving program earned three of the four GLIAC Swimmers and Divers of the Week awards on Tuesday. Benjamin Wainman earned his fifth Men's Swimmer of the Week of the season while Rory Kauffman earned his first Men's Diver of the Week and Cailey Mills earner her first Women's Diver of the Week.

Wainman took first in his two events, finishing the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 4:35.75 and the 1650-yard freestyle in a time of 15:30.92. He also posted a 50-yard freestyle split of 22.11 in his leg of the 200-yard free relay. Kauffman took first in the 1-meter dives and second in the 3-meter dives with scores of 281.10 and 270.70. Mills took first in both dives as she scored 241.90 in the 1-meter and 227.75 in the 3-meter.

This brings SVSU swim and dive's total up to seven Athlete of the Week awards for the 2024-25 season. It is Wainman's sixth in his career, the fourth for Kauffman, and the first for Mills.
