We want to confirm that SVSU Athletics will not be conducting any athletics-related activities of any kind on Election Day, November 3, 2020. Coaches, student-athletes, and staff – as well as our entire Cardinal community! – are encouraged to use that time to find opportunities for civic engagement at the local, state, and/or national levels. One obvious way to do this is by participating in the election through exercising the Constitutional right to vote. Across the NCAA, this effort has been spearheaded by SAAC leadership. This effort has been mandated by the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Atheltic Conference (GLIAC) as well that there will be no athletics-related activities on Nov. 3 for all member institutions.
