BAY CITY - SVSU senior pitcher Samantha Willman has been named the GLIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week after leading the Cardinals to a 5-1 game one victory in the team's sweep at Bellarmine this past Monday (Mar. 6).

Willman tossed a complete game while allowing a single unearned run in the Cardinals' 5-1 victory over the Knights. She allowed just three hits while striking-out seven batters in the victory. Willman is now 4-3 in 2017 with four complete games, striking-out 50 batters in her 49.2 innings pitched. She has a 3.38 ERA for the Cardinals. 

The Cardinals, who are now 11-6 overall, return to action on Thursday (Mar. 16), when the Cardinals travel to Notre Dame College fora 3:00 p.m. non-conference doubleheader.
