SVSU Football Picked to Finish Sixth in GLIAC North Division

BAY CITY - In the annual Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Preseason Coaches Poll, the Saginaw Valley State University football team has been chosen to finish sixth in the league's North Division. Voting was conducted by the head coaches in the GLIAC, with the Cardinals collecting 16 points. 

SVSU sits five points behind Hillsdale College, as the Chargers registered 21 points and are in the fifth slot. Grand Valley State registered 47 points and five first place votes to finish first in the North while Ferris State had three first place nods and 45 points and sits runner-up. Michigan Tech (35) finished in third while Wayne State (30) is fourth.

Ashland was chosen to win the South Division with 25 points and five first place votes. Ohio Dominican received the remaining first place vote for the South while tying with Tiffin for second with 19 points. Findlay (13), Walsh (9) and Lake Erie (5) rounded-out the last three slots for the South Division.
