UNIVERSITY CENTER - Saginaw Valley State University and the SVSU Athletic Department officially unveiled the new golf practice facility on Wednesday (May 25) afternoon. The facility has been officially named the George W. Eastland Golf Center, named in recognition of George Eastland, professor of chemistry and Faculty Athletic Representative for more than 40 years at the University.

Eastland, an avid golfer himself, served in the capacity of Faculty Athletic Representative with exemplary commitment to several athletic directors, hundreds of coaches and thousands of student-athletes.
