UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University women's tennis and head coach Jenn Boehm have officially announced the addition of Maya Campbell (Swartz Creek, Mich. / Swartz Creek HS) to the program for the fall of 2017. 

Campbell, who is entering her senior season, has competed at the No. 1 singles position for the Dragons. She is a three-time Flint Metro League Scholar-Athlete and has earned three varsity letters. Campbell has earned a pair of Flint Metro League All-Conference awards and earned All-State honors in her junior season. Maya claimed first place at last year's regional tournament at the No. 1 singles spot and advanced to the quarterfinals of the state tournament. She is pursuing a degree in nursing at Saginaw Valley State University and is the daughter of Bob and Kim Campbell.

I have watched her steadily improve over this past spring and summer and I'm excited about her potential to make an immediate impact on our team. She has a great attitude and overall work ethic, which are essential elements to our winning team culture. Maya is a great student as well and is excited about the opportunity to pursue a degree in Nursing. We are really looking forward to welcoming her on-campus next fall."
