MIDLAND - The Saginaw Valley State University women's tennis team is set to compete this weekend in the 2015 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships, beginning on Friday, October 23rd.

The championships are being hosted at the Greater Midland Tennis Center and run from Friday, October 23rd through Sunday, October 25th. 

SVSU is competing in the annual postseason tournament for the fifth time out of the past six years and the fourth time in head coach Jenn Boehm's five years at the helm. Since 2011, the Cardinals have finished in seventh place in 2011, 2012 and 2014, defeating the Ohio Dominican Panthers in each of those seasons in the seventh place match.

The Cardinals carry a 5-6 overall and GLIAC record into play on Friday. Their first round and #2-seeded opponent, Northwood University, is 10-1 overall with the same record in GLIAC play.
