UNIVERSITY CENTER - The Saginaw Valley State University football team is ranked #20 in the annual D2Football.com Preseason Top 25 Poll.  The poll was released on August 26th.

The Cardinals, coming off their third NCAA Division II Playoff Appearance in the past five years, also claimed their third-straight GLIAC North Division Title in the 2013 season after a 9-1 conference record.  

SVSU will square-off against the 15th-ranked University of Indianapolis Greyhounds in both teams' season-opening contest on Saturday, September 6th.  Indy is coming off a playoff appearance itself in the 2013 season.  Kickoff for next Saturday's game is set for 7:00 pm at Wickes Stadium on the campus of SVSU.
