Series: First all-time meeting

The Saginaw Valley State University football team travels to Columbus, Ohio for a match-up with the 11th ranked Ohio Dominican Panthers on Saturday (11/8) afternoon at Panther Stadium.  It will be the first all-time meeting between SVSU and ODU.

Saginaw Valley is 2-7 overall with a 2-6 mark in the GLIAC this season.  Last week, SVSU fell to Hillsdale 24-17 despite a pair of late scoring drives.  The Cardinals are led defensively by Bryan Jones who is tied for third in the conference with 84 total tackles.  The SVSU pass defense is ranked fourth in the conference, allowing 198.6 passing yards a game and is second in the conference with 21 sacks.

The Panthers are 7-1 overall and 7-1 in the GLIAC.  Last week, ODU defeated Northwood 49-21 on the road.  Ohio Dominican is led offensively by quarterback Mark Miller and running back Brandon Schoen.  Miller is averaging 231.5 passing yards per game which is good for fifth in the conference while Schoen is averaging 118.7 yards per game which is sixth best for rush yards per game in the GLIAC.
