LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Five Saginaw Valley State University softball student-athletes were recently recognized as National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar Athletes for the 2013-14 season.

Amanda Kimes, Claire Coopes-Meske, Brenna Bourdage, Deanna Stickler-Gatson and Kari Knight all received the honor for the Cardinals.

Student-athletes who achieve a GPA of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale are recognized as NFCA Scholar Athletes.
