- The SVSU football hosts the Northern Michigan University Wildcats on Saturday (10/4) night at Wickes Stadium.  The Cardinals are looking for their first victory of the season while the Wildcats are 1-3 overall, but are looking for their first GLIAC victory.  The all-time series is tied between SVSU and NMU as the teams have split the first 34 meetings, as the Cardinals have won 12 of the last 14 meetings.  Saginaw Valley defeated Northern Michigan last year at Wickes Stadium by a score of 52-17.
