****Updated 4/23*****

Team Michigan Falls to Team Ohio, 10-7
Former SVSU tight end Zach Cecich pulled in three catches for 23 yards for Team Michigan on Saturday (Apr. 20).  Team Ohio defeated Team Michigan by a final score of 10-7.  Former running back Tim Hogue was on the Team Michigan roster, but did not participate due to preparations for the upcoming NFL Draft.

PICKERINGTON, Ohio - The Saginaw Valley State University football team will be well represented in the Ohio vs. Michigan Senior Bowl.  2012 seniors Tim Hogue (Inkster, Mich.) and Zach Cecich (Crown Point, Ind.) will both participate in the Senior Bowl on April 20th at the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio.

Cecich was arguably one of the best all-around athletes on the 2012 SVSU team.  He started all 11 games this season, including two starts at left tackle.  He caught ten passes for 124 yards and a touchdown. Zach owns a 3.96 GPA as a Business Management major in the College of Business and will graduate this December after four and a half years. He was also named to the Capital One Academic All-America Second Team in 2012.

"It is great for our program to have Zach representing the state of Michigan in this first annual all- star game.  We fully expect him to have a great game and help Michigan win in the same fashion he helped the Cardinals win for the last four years," commented Coach Jim Collins.

Hogue, who finished the season with 1,105 yards rushing and seven touchdowns on the ground, became the first Cardinal running back to surpass the 1,000 yard plateau since 2008.  He also caught 25 passes for 240 yards and three scores out of the backfield for Saginaw Valley.

"We are excited to announce our first Team Michigan roster," said Todd Oliver, President of GameDay Management, Inc. "Team Michigan is still evolving but I am impressed with the quality of players who have taken a leap of faith as we bring these two states together to do battle in the Hall of Fame City."

Team Michigan will be coached by Grand Valley State University's Matt Mitchell and Bill Conley, of Ohio Dominican University, will coach Team Ohio.
