UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University Athletics Department and Cardinal Football team will host the 2nd Annual Cardinal Kickoff Event – "Under The Lights" on August 26 at Wickes Stadium.

The festivities will begin at 6 pm with the Cardinal Kids Club Kickoff event featuring kids games, inflatables, autographs and photo opportunities.  This will give fans their first opportunity to interact and get pictures taken with members of the 2012 football team and see and hear the SVSU Marching Band, cheer, dance and pom-pon teams. The event will be highlighted by a football practice under the lights at 7 pm. Head Football Coach Jim Collins will address the fans in attendance.

This event is open to the public and will also feature fun contests and giveaways throughout the evening.
