TIFFIN, OH. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's soccer team wraped up the regular season against Tiffin University in a 2-1 lost today (Oct. 28). This contest moved the Cardinals record to 8-2-3 in the GLIAC for the 2012 regular season.
The Lady Cardinals kicked off the game being the first to register on the scoreboard when Charley Porter (Mindland, Mich. / Midland HS) fed a swift pass to Andrea Grove (Farmington, Mich. / Farmington HS) who would net the pass for the Cardinals lone goal of the afternoon at the the 41:11 minute mark.
Cardinals were able hold their 1-0 led going into halftime against the Dragons.
In the second half of play the dragons were able to find the back of the net when Tiffin's Lauren Bowyer tied the game 1-1 at the 51:23 mark in the second half.
The game would go until the double overtime until the Dragons net a goal home for a Tiffin's goal by Giulianna Domingues, the Dragons went on to win the last game of the regular season 2-1.
The Lady Cardinals will return back to action
