BAY CITY, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University softball player Jade Fulton (Byron, Mich.) has been selected as Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Pitcher of the Week. Fulton helped to lead the Cardinals to a 4-0 record last week.

Fulton, a senior pitcher helped Saginaw Valley to defeat both Concordia University, 2-1 and Detroit-Mercy, 8-0 last week. She struck out 27 batters, allowed no walks, and gave up only three hits in her 12 innings of play. She finished the weekend with an impressive 0.58 ERA. Fulton is now 7-3 on the season with 113 strikeouts to just eight walks. She has also pitched nine complete games, including four shutouts.

The Cardinals are currently 13-6 overall on the season. Saginaw Valley will be in action on Friday (Mar. 25) when they travel to Wayne State for their first GLIAC contest of the season. The double header is scheduled for 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
