GROSSE ILE, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State
University men's golf team is in fourth place after second round
play at the 2010 GLIAC Men's Golf Championships, held at the Grosse
Ile Golf & Country Club in Grosse Ile, Mich.
The Cardinals followed their 300 first round score with an
identical 300 figure in round two to sit at +29 overall, just eight
strokes off the pace of tournament leader Wayne State (598,
+21).
Sophomore Dan Warner
(Saginaw, Mich./Arthur Hill HS) sits in third place overall after
following a first round 71 with a 74 in round two to finish at
+4. Senior Nate Kelly (Suttons
Bay, Mich.) moved up into a tie for eighth place after shooting
rounds of 75-74 (+7). Junior Troy
Quenneville (Tecumseh, Ont.) also improved his position, moving
into a tie for 17th after carding rounds of 77-75 (+10).
Senior Mike
Horn (Clarkston, Mich.) moved from tied for 25th to tied for
21st as well, posting rounds of 77-76 (+11).
