UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to the Bulldogs of Ferris State University on Friday afternoon (9/4).

Yunjiao Shangguan and Debra Hammond played well at number one doubles despite losing, 9-7 while Hammond pushed her number two singles match to three sets.

The Cardinals' record now stands at 0-1 on the young season. SVSU travels to Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. for a match-up with Lake Superior State University on September 11.
