UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University's Jade Fulton has been named the Lousiville Slugger/NFCA Division II Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 15, 2009, the NFCA announced on Wednesday.

Jade Fulton, the Cardinals sophomore pitcher led the team in the circle during their annual spring trip. At the 2009 Rebel Spring Games last week, the Byron, Mich., native went 4-1 with two saves and a 0.17 ERA over eight appearances, tossing 41 innings while allowing just 18 hits, three runs, one earned run and four walks while striking out 55 opposing batters last week.

Fulton closed out the week with a no-hitter against Southwest Minnesota on March 14, striking out nine and walking one for the seven-inning no-no. Fulton had 10 strikeouts in a win over Concordia-St. Paul and nine-strikeout games against Northern Kentucky and C.W. Post last week.
