MIDLAND, Mich. – The SVSU womens tennis team lost to Grand Valley State University 5-0 on Saturday in the first round of the 2008 GLIAC Women's Tennis Tournament.

SVSU feel in all three doubles matches to the Lakers before falling at two singles and four singles to close out the match. The Cardinals left games at one singles, three singles, five singles and six singles unfinished.

Saginaw Valley falls to 3-7 on the season while Grand Valley moves to 9-1 on the season. The Cardinal will play the loser of the Ashland/Wayne State match later today (Oct. 25).
