The Cardinals only traveled a small group of distance athletes to the the SPIRE Midwest Open to join a more competitive field of athletes to increase the chances of improved marks.

The distance medley relay team consisting of senior Alycia Wright (Macomb, Mich./Lutheran North HS), sophomore Diamond Taylor (Southfield, Mich./Southfield HS), junior Dana Stolicker (Deckerville, Mich./Deckerville HS), and senior Ashley Meyer (Shepherd, Mich./Shepherd HS) broke the previous school record of 12:13.43, by almost 20 seconds, clocking in at 11:56.85.

Saginaw Valley will be back in action again Friday (2/3) when they host Grand Valley State University for the SVSU vs. GVSU Dual.
