Micah Skidmore (Saginaw, Mich./Home school), a red shirt freshman on the SVSU Golf team, finished tied for 2nd at "The Jewell" Great Lakes Regional #2 tournament at Cherry Blossom Golf and Country Club.

Skidmore posted a one-under-par 71 and finished in a tie for 9th place after day one. Micah then carded another one-under-par 71 in the final round and finished runner-up at a 142 (-2) total, one shot behind the eventual winner.

The runner-up finish is the best of Skidmore's young collegiate career at SVSU. He has finished in the top-20 six times, including two top-5 finishes.

The Cardinals continue their march toward a Super Regional berth with the third leg of the Great Lakes Regional series at Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Indiana April 7th and 8th.
