Jeff Janis (Tawas City, Mich./Tawas Area HS), sophomore wide receiver for the SVSU football team, caught a 76-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jonathon Jennings (Columbus, Ohio/Westerville South HS) to put the Cardinals ahead 14-0 on Saturday (9/17) against Lake Erie. Jennings would hook up with Janis for a second touchdown on the evening, this time for a 34-yard reception. Janis finished the contest with four catches for 144 and two touchdowns in the victory.
