Lauren Hill (Flat Rock, Mich.), a junior on the SVSU women's track and field team, was the top Saginaw Valley finisher in the 5,000-meter run at the GVSU Big Meet over the weekend (Feb. 10-11).

Hill finished 17th in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:40.40, besting her seeded time of 18:40.00 by almost 50 seconds.

The Cardinals are back in action this weekend (Feb. 17-18) at the Central Michigan-hosted 'Jack Skoog' Open.
