Colin Coulter (Clio, Mich./Powers Catholic HS), a senior starting pitcher on the SVSU Baseball team, finished the 2012 RussMatt Central Florida Invitational with a 2-0 record to give the pitching staff a great start to the season.

In the first contest of the year, Coulter picked up the win on the hill, allowing zero runs, while pitching five innings and striking-out four batters against West Virginia Wesleyan on March 3rd.

Coulter's next appearance would be against Mansfield (Pa.) where he threw a complete-game, three hitter allowing just one run, while striking out six batters. The Cardinal offense gave Coulter a comfortable 23-1 victory.

The Cardinals look to start the conference schedule at home against Hillsdale on Mar. 24 and 25th.
