Brett Beland (Menominee, Mich.), a junior guard on the SVSU men's basketball team, paced the Cardinals to a big win over Ferris State on Saturday (Jan. 7). Beland finished the night with 18 points on 2-of-4 shooting from the field including 13-of-15 from the charity stripe. Brett ranks third in the GLIAC in free throw shooting at 90.9 percent going 40-for-44 from the line.
