Cardinals welcome Tommy Twardecki as Assistant Coach

UNIVERSITY CENTER -- Saginaw Valley State University men's basketball head coach Randy Baruth has announced the addition of Tommy Twardecki to his coaching staff. Twardecki has joined the Cardinals for the beginning of the semester.

"We are excited to add Tom to our staff," said Baruth. "Tom comes highly recommended from head coach Chris Shepard at Henry Ford Community College. He will be bringing experience of all parts to our program from scouting, coaching, recruiting and a genuine work ethic to help improve our program."

Twardecki comes to SVSU from Henry Ford Community College, where he served as an assistant coach. He was an assistant coach at Mott Community College for the 2016-17 season in his other collegiate stop. 

Tommy served as a graduate assistant at Grand Ledge High School while earning his master's degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University in 2016. He earned his bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2014.
